Chrysoprase: Chrysoprase is a green Chalcedony and is a form of Quartz (silicon dioxide).  This gemstone formed when streams of hot water carrying silicon, aluminum and other minerals flows into cracks of a host rock creating veins.

(Robert Simmons) Chrysoprase is a lovely stone of the pure green ray and as such it is a stone of the heart.  Wearing or meditating with this stone can facilitate a deep heart connection with the spirit of the Earth Mother, as well as Devas and other Nature and Earth-spirit entities.  Chrysoprase helps one to remain centred in the heart at all times, providing the courage to face difficult or threatening situations with steadfast love and truth-centred compassion.  Through the compassionate lens of Chrysoprase, one is able to look back at relationships which ended unpleasantly and to resolve them inwardly with a profound sense of forgiveness, both for the other person and for oneself.  Chrysoprase also activates the solar plexus chakra, the seat of the will.  It works to blend one’s personal will with the urgings of the heart.

(Naisha Ahsian) Chrysoprase carries an energy of growth and rising promise.  It brings hope into even the darkest regions of one’s shadow self.  It helps one accept one’s birthrights of prosperity, joy and health.  It helps one to understand the interconnectedness with all of creation and to heal feelings of separation and isolation.  Chrysoprase is an excellent prosperity stone and a powerful Love attractor.  It helps one prepare the heart for a new relationship.  It allows one to overcome bitterness and past disappointment and to approach new relationships with the curious heart of youth.  It can aid in identifying patterns and habits in relationships, clearing them before they create blockages.  Chrysoprase supports general healing and regeneration.  It is the ‘stone of youth’ in that it assists in maintaining youthful spirit, outlook and energy.  It can be helpful in recuperation from degenerative diseases of all types.  Affirmation: “I see myself and others through the lens of the heart’s compassion, and I grow in the paths that serve the good of all.”

(Judy Hall) Chyrsoprase imparts sense of being part of divine whole; promotes love of truth, hope and personal insights; draws out talents and stimulates creativity; promotes fidelity in business and personal relationships; energizes heart and sacral charkas; calming; opens to new situations; overcomes impulsive and compulsive thoughts and actions; opposes judgementalism; stimulates acceptance of oneself and others; promotes forgiveness and copassion, fluent speech, mental dexterity, security and trust; prevents peaking out in anger; helps  nightmares and claustrophobia, especially in children; heals codependence; strong detoxifier, clears heavy metals, detoxifies liver; aids eye problems and mental illness; balances hormones; heals inner child, releases emotions locked in since childhood

Chrysoprase: (Karen Osborne, 2014) Chrysoprase is a beautiful form of green Chalcedony.  It carries the green ray and is a stone of heart consciousness.  It is also a stone of healing, growth and abundance, but first and foremost, Chrysoprase is a Relationship Stone.  We may not always realize it, but the relationships we cultivate in our lives are our primary means of recognizing own hidden nature.  If we are paying attention we can learn so much about who we are by seeing ourselves reflected in the beliefs, behaviors and issues of the people in our lives.  The people we love will mirror to us both the beauty and the imbalances we carry within.  This can make “putting our toe in the relationship water” a little unnerving especially if we have been hurt by the reflection in the past. Chrysoprase helps us find the courage to dive in again.  It does so by helping to heal the negative patterns we hold from our past relationships.  Maybe you can remember the first time you fell in love.  The first time, we give one hundred percent of ourselves to the experience.  We trust what we are feeling, and we trust the other person.  Chrysoprase helps return us to that state of trust.  It is a wonderful stone for healing the limiting beliefs that formed from being hurt and disappointed by past relationships.  It softly dissolves even the most stubborn bitterness and resentment, so that we can love and trust again.  Through loving others, we can learn to love ourselves.  When we fall in love with another, we are actually falling in love with ourselves.  We are discovering our own beauty and loving nature as it is mirrored to us by the other.  We may never know the true magnitude of beauty and love that lives inside of us if we allow fear of pain and disappointment to hold us back in our relationships. Chrysoprase helps us find the compassion to understand that when our loved ones disappoint us they are showing us something about ourselves, perhaps a shadow part that we could not easily see on our own.  Finding compassion for what we perceive to be weakness in others helps us to find compassion for ourselves.   Self-compassion allows self-love, which is the key for loving relationships.  It helps us to heal dysfunction in our current relationships and prepare us for new ones by encouraging forgiveness and compassion.  Chrysoprase also heals feelings of loneliness and isolation.  It helps us to feel and know that we are connected to all life – to understand that we are all made up of the same units of creation.  It brings us into more direct experience of wholeness that is intrinsic to the natural world. This makes it a great communicator with plants, the devic realms and other Earth spirits, including Gaia herself.  Chrysoprase can, in fact, return us to the natural states of love, joy, health and wealth that are our Divine birth rites.  It is even said to restore lost youth and magnetize new love into one’s life!  Embracing Chrysoprase is like embracing the future in all its unknown glory.  It teaches us to embrace new love by embracing ourselves.  If your heart is longing to share itself with someone maybe Chrysoprase is the stone you need right now.  Maybe you can allow Chrysoprase to show you your shadow parts so that you can love and transform them.  When you do, get ready for a big quality of life upgrade!
